Here he is .... fresh off the paint table. I went a little farther on the paint job being as he's headed for a museum exhibit. Hopefully, you will note an improvement in my carvings, the painting and their overall presentation on future pieces as I think now is the time to really stretch myself beyond what I've been doing.

Change can sometimes be for the good and you've demonstrated that with this superb bust. The nuances to your carvng detail and painting are clearly present. Ole Windy is truly worthy of being in a museum exhibit.
ReplyDeleteHard to imagine, Lynn, what stretching beyond what you have been doing would look like. When looking at Windy, the first thing I noticed is the painting of him - more blended from tan to dark brown, brown to green and the shadows of the red. It will be interesting to see how you "stretch" yourself. I just might stop carving just to watch and see what you end up doing! lol Jim
