Part 4 - The Mouth from Out West Woodcarving Videos on Vimeo.
We're zipping right along with this one and he's really starting to come to life. In this segment we work on the mouth and contribute to his smoking habit. He's starting to look a little pissed but I'm starting to really like him. I think he's going to be a classic.
It sure doesn't take you very long to completely alter the appearance of your carving. It always amazes me how it comes together, even when I am seeing it in my own hands...how did those three or four little pieces of wood coming off change this thing so much? I think that is the most fun part of carving, at least for me, the process. The end result is fun to look at, but I think actually making it is the best part. Of course, if I sold carvings, I might care a little more about the end product :)
ReplyDeleteI;m watching every step and of course learning. Really good Lynn.fred k
