Thanks for the instruction on the buttons. I like the look of the first method better also. Will have to practice some today at carving club on a scrap piece of wood so I can make better buttons on my next carving...have been trying to cut them in with a gouge (#9) like in some of the books I have to no avail. Your method looks much better to me.This guy, for some reason, now remind me of Curly in City Slickers....good movie and good actor, so that is not a bad thing to say about a carving. Looking forward to the next installment.
