Hi Lynn....great carving.....I have to disagree on one thing however....I have used Deft on my carvings since the beginning, I have some here on the shelf over 10 years old and no problems at all with the Deft damaging the paint....by the way I too use the Walmart acrylics....I do agree about the BLO..geez, I hate the smell of that stuff!

  3. Great tip on the calligraphy pen...I am clipping the hobby lobby coupon out of tomorrows paper and going to stop in Monday to get one. Looks like the dull coat is essential, so that is already on my list as well. Great looking bust, as usual, such wonderful paint. An inspiration to watch.
