Speaking of name tags, I think I may have found a new source for inexpensive ones that you can order on the net and get pretty quick. I'll let you know when my first order arrives and how it turned out.

Getting back to this rounder, I'm thinking of doing a larger series of small busts mounted on that base of various Old West Town Folk. I think that would really make a nice display on my Dayton table and hopefully some collector will agree and buy the whole set! See, selling carvings is a lot like fishing....you bait your hook and throw the line out and see what bites. Sometimes is best to try something new to pique that lunker's interest. Maybe this will do it.

Looks like You took the head of the "Buckeye" bust and put it on the body of the "Tex" bust

Woody: As a matter of fact Gabby is Buckeye's twin brother and he's always been an admirer of Tex's clothing choices.

Keep them coming Lynn, this is without a doubt the best time i have on the net. What is your source for bass wood? Some of what i get is called northern but it is a little darker than what you have. I am enjoying doing a sheild now. Look forward to seeing you at Dayton.

My mind starts racing as I think of the blacksmith, the wheel wright, the sheriff, the store keeper, the inn keeper, the banker, the dentist, the doctor, the telegraph operator, the salon keeper, the school teacher, the preacher, the choir leader, the traveling salesman, the butcher, the baker, the cooper, the tailor, the printer, and you already mentioned the undertaker.
I wonder if you will be able to keep the group together long enough for a town photo.
Color me excited to see them all!
