  1. That's a mighty big piece of wood. I can't wait to start carving with ya. Thanks Lynn and Judy. Ginny

  2. I have 4 big pieces of wood...but have been hesitant to start a figure that big. Now I guess it is about time to bite the bullet and go for it. As soon as I finish the figure I am in the middle of, I plan on making a large one...now t decide on the subject. I like to take the lessons from your tutorials, but tweak the into a different fella that is mine...not that I don't like yours, but the pride of ownership in a figure that i unique is the best of all. I need to allow more wood for feet so they turn more, that was a good lesson....I learn something (or relearn it) from every video....I wish I had payed this much attention in school. Too hot here today to work outside, and I carved all morning today at carving club...so guess it will be a day of rest and goofing off. Hope you guys have a safe weekend from the weather over there, we are not in the path of storms, but looks like they will pass your way. Go to the hidey-hole at the first sound of a train nearby.

  3. Wow 5 dollars 80 for a piece of basswood that size!! Woods cheap over in the USA , would have been 3 times that over here in the UK.
Another informative video Lynn, it's good to see all the stages of a carving, it helps all the newbies like me. Thanks and keep up the good work. Trev
