Now Where'd He Go?

In case you're wondering what happened to us, here's one reason. We have many others. Hope to get back to carving as soon as we stack some wood.

  1. That looks like a lot of wood. hopefully you will stop chopping before you cut down the entire Ozarks. Looks like the shop will be toasty warm this coming winter. I have been landscaping here as well, but since my lot is smaller than yours ( by about a factor of 100) it doesn't take as much heavy machinery. Be careful of the back, knees, elbows, etc...rest in the evening, soak in a hot tub....and get done so we can restart carving. We have missed you guys on the blog, but owning acreage is a big job and we understand the need for preventative maintenance.

  2. That ain't fair using a splitter... where's your Abe Lincoln Spirit and using a trusty AX!!! Ha...you got a good handle on it and probably not as exhausti9ed come days end. Just taker slow and easy.

As for me & my new Cub Cadet mower that I used 6 times last year and once yesterday seized up. Hauled it in to the repair shop and it needs a new transmission. Go figure!!!

  3. The splitting was the only part that was any fun. The cutting, dragging, cutting, carrying and stacking was the part I hated.

  4. Sell them as "Out West" rough outs...just the way they are.
