Good review, it is always helpful to remind ourselves of the basics...it is easy to develop bad habits and hard to get out of them. One comment on video quality..for some reason in this segment, the overhead light on the carving is very bright and often reflected off the wood and obscured the pencil lines and the details. I don't know if it is reflecting off the colored backdrop above your table (see I notice details on the vids) or what, but it is different than in prior vids as regards reflection off the piece. Thanks for the tutorial, now I am off to carve a head...

ReplyDeleteI had no problem with reflections. But I have my monitor set pretty dark compared to most people. Ginny
