I thought I was the only one to cut through a hat....guess I am in good company after all. Seriously, that was a good recovery, I have a couple of guys with holes in the hat under there on my shelf, and you can't see them...so they never happened, right? The solder looks better eah session, he will be neat when finished.
And that is why you told us which direction the grain should go when making the hat - words not wasted - lesson learned :) It is amazing how a chip here and a chip there and things start to come together. I seem to always start out shaking my head but by the time you are through - WOW!!! Jim
