He's looking real good. Very interesting approach to doing the ridges on the hat. I would have overlooked the fact that the secondarasry ridges don't 'stand' as tall as the primaries.
I don't know if you noticed it as you were carving and fitting the dome, but you had the beginnings of a Top Hat.
I vote for a bust, but the full figure would probably be a better seller for you. IMHO.
Good technique, you really transformed the blocks into a hat with a few strokes of the knife, I am often amazed at what huge differences in a carving can be made by mere slivers of wood coming off...The fireman is heating up...looking forward to more progress and more tips in the net video. Great work a usual.
