Now sure what this guy is cooking but I don't think I'll place an order. He'll have a cigarette handing out the side of his mouth, no doubt to let the ashes drop in the soup to give it some extra flavor. Couple more photos in the gallery but this is an original so no copies please. Hope you like him and your comments are always welcome.
He looks a bit disappointed with whatever he has just cooked. (-; Another great one Lynn!
ReplyDeleteRon B.
Looks like he just watched his souffle fall!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat piece Lynn!
Can you elaborate on the hat? Is the hat added? Is the fluffy part a separate from the 'stem' of the hat?
I can picture lots of different scenes for your baker, err chef!
Thanks Lynn! Your work inspires your followers.

The hat is separate as I did the head while at our weekly woodcarvers meeting and really didn't know where the character was headed.

ReplyDeleteWhere are the other pictures in the gallery?
ReplyDeleteI am sooooooooo glad you are doing a new video.
Happy Hoilday!!!
he doesn't have any Michelin Stars....but maybe he can get a seal of approval from the Diner Cooks Association. Nice expression, I really like the elongated space between upper lip and nose..sort of like what you usually see in caricatures of Bogart...he has great face, I assume the body will be just as unique.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is a real different caricature in style from the long pointy nose to the protruding eye-balls. I realy like the new(er) approach and he's gonna look great puffin' away on his cigarette butt as he stirs the soup and with a dirty, gresy, smudgy apron perhaps(?)
ReplyDeleteGood-one Lynn.
Great looking face. He reminds me of Anton Ego, the food critic in Ratatouille. Can't wait to see him complete.
ReplyDeleteNow you’re talking.....Lynn this guy is going to be verrrrry tall if you make a body, the head and hat looks like its 5 or 6 inches tall, it also looks like his cooking isn't very good with that lonnnnng skinny face, but I really like him. It totally amazes me how great your imagination is, you’re like the energizer bunny, you just keep on going and going with new ideas.
ReplyDeleteI am really intrigued by the eyes. Those bulges are very interesting. I have never thought of doing eyes like that. I look forward to seeing the final product.
