  1. More great progress. You make carving a hand look so easy...yet I struggle and do at least two for every one I use (occasionally more). I have a habit of breaking off a thumb or pinkey finger... seems to just fall off when I get to that stage.....I guess I need to watch this video a dozen times with wood in hand a follow along..but will have to pause a bunch cause you are so fast.....will the shield be pinned to the arm with the back side of the boss of the shield?

  2. Every time I see a video of yours I learn something new. I know I have said that before but it is true. I have never had an instructor. Your videos are the way I learn. You teach so well. Thanks a million. Ginny

  3. Lynn, glad to see how you do some of the fitting together, it took 2 holes in my head and 3 in the crown to get all the pieces of my hat to fit right.
How did you drill the big hole in the bust, did you clamp it and used a drill press, I could not hold that thing a get a good hole out of it.

  4. Lynn, we all know you have an artist eye but I was wondering if you could give any info on how to determine proportions. How did you know what size to make the arms, I've reduced the body, head and hat but I have no ideal what size to make the arms.
This goes for how you decide what size a bust should be for the size of the head you have.
