Believe it or not the carving part of this project is finished! While we did have a minor flub and lost some video while making this segment I think there is enough information to give you a complete picture of the steps taken so far.

In the next part we’ll head over to the paint table to bring this character to life. As always your comments are welcome and appreciated.
I'm getting a real education on the wear of cowboys and I couldn't be more pleased. Thank you so much Lynn you are one of the greats. fred k
ReplyDeleteAlthough I do not drop in as much as I used to, it’s only because I have dial-up service therefore can not get the videos. But I have been a regular (daily) visitor to Lynn’s blog since it’s inception back in 2006. I’m a real fan of Lynn’s work. I love to see every new piece that he comes up with, and I really hope the blog continues. Maybe someday I will advance up to that thing they call “High Speed” so I can take advantage of the videos. Thanks Lynn & Judy for 4 years of great instruction. It's made me a much better carver......Myron
ReplyDeleteGreat videos Lynn. Glad to see that after that ten day dry spell those few comments in section six suggesting a lack of interest, got you back to the carving table, doing what we all come here to watch you do. Thank you. You’re an inspiration. – W.P.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI can't help but notice a trend. The Pancho series also encountered "technical difficulties" when you were demonstrating carving folds & wrinkles in fabric. Almost like you didn't want us to learn this secret ;)
Seriously though, it would be great to see you carve the folds etc.
My Dad had a saying about a young guy who was gunning for his job "I taught him everything he knows... not everything I know!"
Keep up the great work documenting your style for the rest of us.
Peter: No...that was an honest mistake on our part that the wrinkle part didn't show up on the video. I have no secrets anymore, at least not associated with carving, so be assured that wrinkles & folds will be covered in upcoming projects.
