Monte Walsh – Part 13 – Painting the Shirt

To get the texture of the shirt that Monte is wearing I try something a little different.  Kind of risky sometimes to try something new but most times the results are well worth it as I think they are in this case.

Some of you have mentioned that you like the way I include the mistakes I make.  I’m glad as I want you to see the entire process…mistakes and all as we all make them.  Maybe my digging my way out of a problem I created will help you put the shovel to some you might face.

Anyway, here’s part 13 and your comments are welcome as always.

  1. I headed down to Mc Donalds today for some of that WIFI. I had to check out some of the Monte videos. WOW great job Lynn & Judy. I started at the most recent and worked my way backwards through the videos. I was at it for over an hour and a half. Monte is looking fine. Thanks so much for all of your efforts.....Myron

  2. Super instruction. Love that shirt painting technique. Also the new higher angle with the camera & lighting is great to see how you do what you do. Thanx.

  3. Lynn,
We love any of the errors that you leave in the videos. It helps us all to develop our own problem solving. Thanks again for all you and Judy do to share the information. I use the same stripling effect on some of my illustrations, especially to create sand or dirt, but you showed me how to apply it to the 3D (sculpture) world.

    Thanks again.
