Here are four videos on painting the Chaps, Gun & Holster…..mistakes and all. While I could have edited out my screw-ups I think its best to show the “whole” process rather than try and gloss over the things that we all experience at one time or another. Anyway, here they are:
Should you have any comments I’m always glad to hear them.
Great work Ya'll.. the video work was much better..Thanks Judy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and interesting series this has been. Judy is doing great with the camera too. I'm learning a lot I can apply to my other work too. One question Lynn, is the self etching primer a Krylon product? Ed in KS.
ReplyDeleteIt may be. I found it back in WalMarts automotive section. O'Reillys also has it. Thanks for the comment.
ReplyDeleteGreat painting lessons Lynn and Judy is becoming a super cinima professional.
ReplyDeleteAppreciatd each video(faux pas and all). Especially liked the explainations of how you shade and create the hues with your colors. This will be invaluable to me in future projects. Much thanx
Really great Lynn, learned a whole lot from the video. Judy your really good on the camera and I think the new angle is great. It seems that one can see more. Very nice series and thank you both for what you do. fred k
ReplyDeleteLynn and Judy,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your tremendous efforts. The new camera angle is a great deal better. I know the video production is a major task beyond the planning, carving, and painting for the camera view.
Thanks for taking the time to think about camera angles and how your students are receiving your lessons!!! The camera work, angles, and lighting really help make this painting instructions so much easier to follow.
ReplyDeleteThanks to Judy for her work and her attempts to keep your head out of the shot! Chuckling.
We really do appreciate all the work you are putting into these aids.

Lynn, I want to tell you how much I enjoy your video's. Keep up the good work. As to your request for comments for the new, higher camera angle, I found it to be a definate improvement.
ReplyDeleteThanks again,
Mike
Lynn, I just want to say that watching your painting techniques has been so helpful to me. I love how you layer the colors together to get that perfect look. Thank you for all of the time that you spend putting out these videos, and for FREE. Simply amazing.

ReplyDeleteThank you both for sharing your time and talents. I've laughed with you when you've made a mistake or two and I applaud you for leaving these in the video's and for showing us how you can work around them. Lynn your cowboy carvings are amazing and your attention to details really adds so much to the character's believability. I was glad to see that you painted metal cartridges in the gun belt instead of those early paper black powder cartridges.....nice touch.
