Okay….here is how I carve eyes. I sure hope it’s easy enough to understand and follow. It’s a really simple operation and with some practice I think you’ll be able to do it without much difficulty. In this first part I show how to carve the platform for the coming details which will be in the following, and last, video on carving this head.
Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI don't think that it is just a coincidence that your "followership" has jumped by about 20% since you started the videos.
I think that is a sign of a really good blog...to say nothing of your technique.
Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI have been keeping track of your blog for sometime and I adore your carvings, and to see these videos and explaining how you do them has been inspring to me to try another hobby along with my others!
I do very Little Woodworking and a Whole lot of Scrollsawing, and by watching your videos so far, I do believe that I could just jump in and start playing around and come out with something as great as yours!
What kind of wood are you using to Carve the Cowboy head from?
Handi
Dear Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI like to hear your comments as you work and your "stream of consciousness" discourse. When you say that you are running out of time and you will just do this bit quickly, I feel left out.
How about taking a few more sections of video even if they don't end neatly at the end of the a section of work?
That said, whatever you do is fine with me.
Michael,
Corsham.
