The Coal Miner - Part 28 - Painting The Lantern

The Coal Miner - Part 28 - Painting The Lantern from Out West Woodcarving Videos on Vimeo.

  1. You put more consideration and attention to the colors and detailing of the lamp than most carvers give to an entire piece. I think (other than devilishly wicked good carving skills) that that is why your pieces stand out so from the crowd at a show....they just have that "something" tight that resonates in the eye and the mind and says to the viewer...this is just right. Amazing, I can only shake my head in awe as I see the good flowing out of your hands into the piece....more knowledge from you please so we might get better here on our own carvings, and thanks for sharing with us.

  2. Like the way this one is shaping up Lynn, can't wait to see how he looks after he,s all dirtied up!! Makes you appreciate the HD when you have to use the lower resolution. Thanks to you both and keep up the good work. Trev

  3. After you lost interest in this guy . You sure are bring him to life. That's good to see...Ginny
