I know I've been kind of silent these past weeks. My recovery from the 2nd operation has not gone as well as I'd hoped so I've been kind of in the dumps. I start a months therapy this Wednesday so maybe things will get a little better but it still looks like a long slog before I get through this. But....today is my 66th Birthday and considering that this is the largest physical hurdle I've faced in all that time I consider myself quite fortunate.
Again, in monitoring the daily hit-counter I'm truly thankful to see that you're sticking around. That helps!
Ah Physical therapy, Hope you have a high threshold for pain! lol! Good luck and speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY Lynn!! Thanks for the update and I have heard that physical therapy makes all the differents in the world, it did after my ACL for my knee.

Happy Birthday Lynn. Your layoff has given the rest of us a bit of breathing space to catch up. ;-) You'll be back at it in no time. Enjoy the time away from it for awhile. How about posting some pics from the inside of your museum. I'd love to see some more of what you guys have done with that. What about announcing a Lynn Doughty Open competition for all your fanse? Maybe provide 5 or so categories and have 'em mailed to your home (ouch, I know) to be judged. You could post the winners individually and maybe do a group pic of everyones together to post. Just a thought! Take care.

Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI'm going thru PT now for my shoulder. It's not fun but it is just one of those things that we do as we get older. Hang in there, we're not goin' anywhere.
Happy Birthday and a speedy recovery!!!

Lynn,
ReplyDeletethe road to recovery is sometimes real bumpy. Especally when we reach our age. Just hang in there, I have several frends that have had arm, wrist, hand and knees worked on and have had very good results with the PT part of it.
And a Happy Birthday.
Charlie
Sorry I missed it yesterday Lynn...
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!

happy Birthday Lynn!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been thru that therapy thing after a shoulder surgery and believe me it helps...a lot. Helped me get going again. It was a little stiff for some time but now it's in great shape.
Healing slows down at our age. I'll get to 66 this November, Lord willing.
So, hope you get back into the swing of things soon. And don't worry, we will all still be here when you start carving again.
We may be having withdrawal symptoms, but we'll be here.
Again - happy birthday and praying for a speedy recovery.
Terry
Happy belated birthday Lynn! I turned 65 on the 29th of last month and found out that recovering from broken ribs is no fun - and takes longer since 'we' are older. You're a tough cowboy so I'm sure you will survive therapy and be feeling better sooner than you think. Best wishes -
