smuggle over another dozen undocumented aliens. The Judge says if he can round up some dinero by next Friday he'll release him under house arrest so here's your chance to help this poor unfortunate and at the same time add a nice little carving to your collection.

The Auction is over with a winning bid of $200.00. I appreciate all the interest this little experiment generated and down the line just might do it again.

Since I posted the photo above I added a little more value to the piece by giving the fella a gold earring and a nameplate.

Thanks again.
That is a really nice carving. Plus the auction is exciting, but. I have met you and think you are a great carver an equally great person. However you can control the auction amounts and no one would ever know except you. I am not ashamed to let anyone know what my bid is.
ReplyDeleteWith that said maybe in the future you can allow everyone to just place their bids here.
Something to think about. Also I do not want to imply that you are in any way a dishonest person.
Hope you are not offended,

Terry. I've implemented your suggestion. While some might consider doing that I'm not one of them.
ReplyDeleteHey Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI know this carving will go for a lot more than I can afford, so I want to be able to say that I did bid.
So here goes: $150.00
Thanks,

ReplyDeleteOk here is my bid, $175.00 ....Myron
ReplyDeleteThanks Myron.
ReplyDeleteI assume your base is either pine or basswood? What color is the stain? Honey Pine? It has a nice golden color to it.
ReplyDeleteTodd: It's just a piece of Butternut with a couple coats of polyurethane satin.

ReplyDeleteThis may sound like a stupid question, but I will ask it anyway. 12:00 PM is noon - correct?
Thanks,
Terry
You're right Terry. 12:00pm Noon, Central. Thanks for the interest. TTYL Lynn
