It's been just about a year now since I posted my first Blog entry. I guess this experiment is sucessful as I've talked to a number of people from across the woodcarving spectrum who have mentioned how much they enjoy following what I'm up to along with the tips I provide. I can also tell just how much traffic the Blog gets by the number counts on the photographs in the Gallery section. There is one thing that I would like to see a lot more of though and that's comments in the comment section. If you have a question about a Blog entry just ask and I'll try and give you a quick response. If you're just visiting to check out what's new how about a brief note to let me know what you think? That way I can see just what you're interested in and can try and aim my upcoming projects into those areas.
So, thanks for your interest over the past year. Here's looking to a productive year ahead.
Lynn- i look forward to every new post on your blog.
ReplyDeleteyou have seen some of my carvings posted elsewhere so you can see the influence you have had on both the carving and presentation.
i look forward to another year of your blog.

Lynn, I too try and read and absorb all the information you post on your blog. Your comments on how to take a good picture of your carvings, The chuck wagon, and all of the other numerous postings have created so many ideas for what I want to do with my carvings I have a hard time finding the time. I saw you at the Dayton show this year and seeing your carvings in person I was thrilled. I consider myself a decent carver but what intrigues me and the area I want to develop is my own original carvings with my own ideas. There are some rattling around in my head just trying to get them down on wood. I consider you like that investment commercial (When Dean Witter speaks people listen) - When Lynn posts on his blog people listen. I just wanted to say Thank You.

Each time I log on to the internet, I always have to stops to make. One is Wood Carving Illustrated Message Board and the other is Out West Woodcarving Blog. So please hang in there with this blob. Dont take away 50 percent of my internet time. I really enjoy your work and have saved most of the pics to my computer......Myron Compton
ReplyDeleteLynn,
ReplyDeleteSince watching your blog site since its inception and meeting you at last years Dayton show, thought I would drop you a line and let ya know how much I have enjoyed both. I look forward to your blog postings because your carvings are some of the best I have ever seen and your attention to detail is the best. I am continually amazed by how you get everything to look just right. A future project I would like to see is a horse, of course ! or possibly just misc. detailing tips.
Thanks again and hope to see you down the road!
Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI too want to say thanks for creating your Blog. I refer to it quite often. It really is very generous of you to share some of your woodcarving knowledge with the rest of us. I hope someday I can see some of your work in person so the Blog is the next best thing and of course outwestgallery.com too. Just curious, have you ever considered the woodcarving show in Omaha in October? John Jussel aka Chipper67
Just a quik note to say thanks for all your hard work and information. As a new carver I really enjoy following your projects and advice as I try to replicate them.
ReplyDeletethanks again......D.L. Larson
