Excellent instruction as usual. Over the years I have recommended your blog to all the new members of our local club. Some have really taken to your style and do great work, you have taught a lot of folks to carve over the years. I just noticed the traffic indicator on the side of this page, really amazing where your followers come from.
He is looking great, mean and sinister, definitely up to no good....thank you!
I have watched different styles of carvers and each one is good in how they carve but you make it look so easy. The way you carve an eye is by far the easiest way to do it. Thanks for the video.
Lynn, my thanks for all the great video's. I am working on my first Cowboy Caricature carving... It is, of course, a Lynn Doughty pattern. I used your photo SBS from your blog gallery to walk me through it... It was a challenge for me and I learned a bunch of new skills. I also turned the base on my lathe... "Chester" is ready for some wood burning, sand-o-flex and the paint.... You can see him here: https://www.facebook.com/doug.korn.353?hc_ref=ARQxbmykOM6ztdq_ekOoq1Bl6ICy1_jCt3pYga0gnl-mX0wwyUBFjKS_e5ddTscJfUs&pnref=storyMy thanks to you and your wife for all you do for those of us who are trying to build our skills by sharing your tips, tricks and carving skills. You have surely helped me, Doug.
